During filming for the Jackie Robinson Heritage Minute, Anthony Hylton, who played Robinson, was very sick! The actor who hits the ball was a stunt double. He also tripped trying to run to first base after he hit the ball (which you can see if you watch closely!).

Actress Kate Nelligan was 8 months pregnant when she portrayed Emily Murphy! This explains why you never see her full torso in the shot.
