Rick Mercer, OC is host of CBC Television’s Rick Mercer Report that will start its 14th season in October, 2016. Rick launched his television career in 1993 in This Hour Has 22 Minutes and went on to the satirical dramatic series Made in Canada. His 2001 CBC TV special Talking To Americans broke ratings records. For the past two seasons Rick hosted the annual Giller Awards on CBC Television and in 2014 he and Jann Arden hosted The Canadian Country Music Awards.
Born and educated in Port Colborne, Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University and an MA from Cornell University. Following appointment as a Foreign Service officer with Canada’s Department of Trade and Commerce in 1962, Mr.
Arni Thorsteinson is President and principal of Shelter Canadian Properties Limited. He has over 45 years experience in real estate development and finance. Arni is a founder of Lanesborough, Huntingdon, Temple and White Rock Real Estate Investment Trusts which listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He is also a Director of Bird Construction Inc. and Onex Corporation.
Richard began his career at Price Waterhouse in 1981 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984.
He then joined Sun Life as an Investment Analyst specializing in Canadian equities. Following a period as Portfolio Manager for Canadian equities, he was given responsibility for all non-Canadian equity investments at Sun Life’s investment counselling subsidiary, Sunimco.
Richard joined AMI Partners in 1989, where he had extensive responsibilities for Canadian equity research.
