Historica Canada’s Black History Podcast and Video Series will explore Black history in Canada though a six-part podcast series and a three-part fully animated video series that interprets the podcast in visual form. The series aims to amplify the voices of notable Black Canadian scholars, writers, and community leaders as they share the stories of their communities in their own words. The final product will be suitable for viewing in both classrooms and by the general public.
The Black History Podcast And Video Series Assistant will be an individual who is passionate about Historica Canada’s work, has had experience working with a team to achieve deliverables in a timely fashion and is enthusiastic about creating a legacy for all Canadians. The successful candidate is creative, driven, and is knowledgeable about the Black history in Canada.

This is a contract position beginning August 10, 2020 and ends on March 31, 2021. The salary will be paid at the hourly rate of $21.03, less applicable statutory deductions, which will be paid to the successful candidate twice a month.
