Our Staff

Brigitte joined what is now Historica Canada (previously known as the Historica-Dominion Institute) in 2011. Originally from Quebec, she only spoke French when her family moved to Ontario in her early teens, but is now fully bilingual. She has a B.A. in Communications and Theatre from the University of Ottawa and has worked in the not-for-profit sector during most of her career. Among colleagues, Brigitte is renowned for skills that in particular include her strong organizational sense and budgeting skills, and ability to enthusiastically engage staff. While she claims to often “smell burnt toast”, that is likely due to her favourite Heritage Minute on Dr. Wilder Penfield, with its famous quote.
